Dressmaking with Cheryl Carron - Below the Kowhai Manuka Skirt

Learning to make your own clothes with Cheryl will give you lots of tips and tricks to get you ahead of the game. We love supporting fellow kiwi owned small businesses and Below the Kowhai has some lovely patterns for kids and adults. In this class we are making the adults Manuka skirt (she also has a children's version so you could make your mini me one too!)

You’ll love the well-fitting and relaxed style of this skirt, and with an elastic back waistband it’s also comfortable. The faux button band, gathers and pockets all make this skirt a versatile and adaptable classic in your wardrobe. Featuring deep inseam or waistband pockets, and an optional faux button band (that’s right, no button holes (just the cred for them! –genius!))

You will need to have a sewing machine in good working order and be comfortable using it without guidance. The best part is that at the end of the day you'll have a beautiful skirt you can wear and proudly say, "I made this!" Further requirements will be emailed closer to the class date.

Date: Thursday 11th April. 10.30am to 3.30pm.

Payment is required upon booking to secure your place in class. Click here to see our class policies page for more info.
